Life Is a Jigsaw (And I’m Still Missing Pieces)
I remember buying stacks of self-improvement books and reading them furiously. That’s when my journey began — I wrote journals about the future self I wanted to become (and what I don’t want) I told myself, “Step out and do it.” So I did. And I still am.
Life can hit us hard. Reality sets in and punches relentlessly. Some days, I felt like my goals were slipping further away — one step forward, five steps back. There were times I stagnated for months, even years. Life refuses to be controlled, no matter how hard you try. Unforeseen consequences always creep in. What stung most? The dreams (small business I’ve tried to build) I chased didn’t feel meant for me. Life kept whispering: Try again. You’ve got this wrong. Try again…
We all have different mindsets, different paths. Some thrive on motivation and grit. Some wander, wondering what their purpose should be. Others float through life utterly lost. I was lost most of the time.
Life is a jigsaw. It’s easy to snap the four corners into place, linking them until you hunt for the next piece. But figuring out where the rest fit? That takes forever — especially since impatience never gets it right. You grab piece after piece, tossing aside what doesn’t fit. Start over. Who knows? Maybe this time, something sticks. Repeat until it does.
